Adopt a virtual pet – Fish
Adopt a virtual pet like
fish, dog, cat etc. You can Build-Your-Own-Fish online and
set them free into the website displays. You can adopt a
virtual pet your own fish, save them, enter the Museum and
with an interactive kiosk recover and set them free in the
Museum tank. This is a new aspect for museum displays, as
conventional walls vanish and everybody can enjoy this
experience. Just enjoying it online is much more fun. Adopt
a virtual pet like fish is very easy and enjoyable.
Website visitors can construct a fish at home and see it
swimming in a web tank, which is an online form of the
Museum's replicated tank. You can adopt a virtual pet and
put them in an aquarium and let the whole world see your
virtual pet.
The visitors can also view your vitual pet which you have
adopted and can also release the fish into the running
exhibit. Museum visitors can retrieve fish that they created
on the website and then release them into the exhibit tank.
The Virtual FishTank showcase has been altered such that it
can communicate with the backend database server. The
connection has two purposes: to get fish release messages
from the net and to help museum visitors to login and
recover their saved fish. When a visitor logs in, the
display resembles another web client to the backend Java
server. When a website visitor frees a fish, a message is
communicated to the backend server that keeps the fish in a
release queue. When the turn of fish arrives turn, the
backend server transmits the "release" message to the
display. If the fish exhibited has finished its life cycle,
its life story data (noted depth data, food consumption
instances, etc.) is retransmitted from the museum to the
backend server where it is saved into a database.
I wish you all the best on your
virtual pet adoption adventure!
Best wishes,
Thomas T :)
